| Wollongong Band approached Nigel Horne because they have a
large percussion section, who much of the time are underused. They have three
percussionists, plus a timpani player, plus a learner.
The brief was to write a light piece with a Latin American feel, and this is the result. The piece will also find favour with more accomplished youth bands who often have an enlarged percussion section. Wollongong is also available for brass band. |
