Rules for the 8th Annual Torrevieja Composition Competition Announced

The Concert Band Portal has been sent information about the forthcoming 8th Annual City of Torrevieja Composition Competition for symphonic band, which is organised by the Joaquin Chapapreieta Institute.

The winners of the previous competitions have been:

  • 2003: SINFONIA HAMLET, D. Santiago Quinto Serna
  • 2004: CUMBRE DE MASADA, D. José Miguel Fayós Jordán
  • 2005: VENTS DEL GARBI, D. José Miguel Martínez Giménez
  • 2006: FANTASIA PER LA VITA E LA MORTA, D. Bert Apermont
  • 2007: No Winner
  • 2008: ELEMENTS, Pablo Anglés Galindo
  • 2009: CASTELO DO INFERNO, Ferrer Ferran

The music can be in any form and must be between 15 and 20 minutes. The winner will receive €15,000.
